West Coast Water Safety has been contracted by the Shire of Broome to deliver lifeguard services at Cable Beach for three years — one of the most demanding aquatic environments in Australia. Cable Beach draws hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, presenting unique water safety challenges including powerful tidal movements, tropical marine hazards, and high tourist volume from people unfamiliar with local conditions.

Our lifeguards patrol Cable Beach during the dry season in partnership with the Broome Surf Life Saving Club. Daily patrols during peak season, with emergency response capabilities including drone surveillance and watercraft.
