Acceptance of quote includes acceptance of these rental conditions. Equipment hired from WCWS is for the stated purpose only — aquatic safety, training, or events.
General Conditions
- Full background and security checks are required prior to hire of certain equipment.
- Photo ID must be provided prior to equipment release.
- Full payment is required before equipment is released.
- All equipment is cleaned and sanitised between hires.
- Equipment must be returned in the same condition as received, cleaned and sanitised.
Manikins
- Manikins are sanitised prior to renting. Clients are responsible for ensuring there is no transmission of pathogens between users.
- Each user must have a new face shield or face mask to prevent direct contact with the manikin mouth.
- Between uses, wipe body and face with a human-safe antiseptic wipe and dry with a clean, dry paper towel.
- Manikins must be moved and placed carefully to prevent damage.
- Do not hold baby or infant manikins by the limbs.
Aquatic & Rescue Equipment
- Rescue boards, spineboards, and rescue tubes must be used only for their intended purpose.
- BaXstrap Spineboards must not be used for patients exceeding 110kg.
- Rescue throw ropes must be inspected before each use and replaced if damaged.
- All aquatic equipment must be rinsed with fresh water after use in salt or chlorinated water.
AED & Oxygen Equipment
⚠️ Real AEDs are live medical devices. They must only be operated by persons with current relevant first aid certificates or under the direction of emergency services. The hirer must nominate a responsible person.
- If an AED is used, the replacement cost of battery and used pads is payable by the hirer (approximately $300 for Heart Sine and Heart Start FRX).
- Oxygen equipment must be operated by persons with current HLTAID015 or equivalent certification.
- Oxygen cylinders must be returned with the valve closed and any unused oxygen remaining.
Two-Way Radios
- Radios must be returned with batteries charged.
- Lost or damaged antennas, clips, or accessories will be charged at replacement cost.
- Radios must not be submerged unless rated for immersion.
Equipment Damage or Loss
- If equipment is damaged, the client will be charged the cost of the replacement part only, not labour.
- If the equipment is not returned, or is in such a state that it cannot be repaired, the client agrees to pay 50% of the retail cost of new replacement.
Pickup & Delivery
- Perth metro: $150 ($75 delivery + $75 pickup)
- Other areas including Broome and regional WA: price on application
