Professional Swimming Pool Lifeguard Two-Day Training Course

Becoming a pool lifeguard is more than just a job; it’s about saving lives, creating safer spaces, and building confidence in and around the water, and this is what our swimming pool lifeguard course is all about. The lifeguard training course at West Coast Water Safety has only one prerequisite, in addition to a minimum age of 16 years, which is that you must hold a current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate. This makes it perfect for anyone who is looking to step into the industry with the right qualifications.

Recognised Skills that Employers Value

To achieve this certification, applicants must successfully complete the SISSS00133- Pool Lifeguard (Skill Set), which includes:

  • SISCAQU019: Client Supervision in Aquatic Environments
  • SISCAQU020: Conduct Water Rescues
  • SISCAQU021: Execute Complex Water Rescues
  • SISCAQU022: Administer Oxygen Resuscitation and Therapy in Aquatic Settings

REMEMBER: If you are going to take up a pool lifeguard certificate course, you need to complete the HLTAID011 before enrolling in this two-day course. To prove this, a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 will be requested upon enrollment.

  • HLTAID011 is a prerequisite for SISCAQU022- Oxygen resuscitation and therapy.
  • If you don’t hold HLTAID011, you must enrol in the 3-Day Pool Lifeguard Course or complete the unit before joining this 2-Day course.
